As NEC3 Project Manager, leading the delivery of a new 600m section of carriageway and roundabout to help improve traffic flow on a major arterial route into Blackburn town centre as well as being in close proximity to a retail park and football stadium. I lead a multi-discipline team through construction process, including the contract documentation and administration, contractor and stakeholder liaison and cost management.
The Alan Shearer Way scheme was nominated in the CIHT North West awards for Project of the Year 2016.

Furthergate & Gorse Street Link Road
October 2014 to August 2016
I was the NEC3 Project Manager on this scheme to widen 1km of carriageway to facilitate new bus lanes and also to construct 600m of new carriageway increasing public transport usage and easing congestion on a major link road into Blackburn town centre. Dan’s role was lead the team to assist on-site delivery and contract administration. The scheme also required in depth stakeholder liaison and cost management.

Rochdale Interchange
August 2012 – November 2013
I provided site supervision on the quality and accuracy of a brand new interchange under NEC Option A.
Activities included monitoring of site workmanship, health and safety, checking method statements, reporting to the client, ensuring a quality product, raising and answering early warnings, assisting in compensation events and identifying and remedying defects.
