Name: Andrew Cook
Affiliations: (NECReg)
Address: WSP, The Forum, Barnfield Road, Exeter, Devon
Post Code: EX1 1QR
Current Position: Principal Engineer, WSP
NEC Experience: I typically have provided Project Management and Site Supervision duties for a variety of local authorities including Devon County Council, Somerset County Council and currently South Gloucestershire Council. I have also experience overseeing the final stages of several projects for Highways England.

I am currently the Project Manager for an £8million scheme refurbishing and widening Bromley Heath Viaduct which carries the A4174 to the north of Bristol City Centre. This is an ECC Option C (Target Price with activity schedule) contract let through a Termed Service Contract.

I successfully completed a 3 year secondment to Somerset County Council where I formed part of the site supervision team on the £12million Taunton Northern Inner Distributor Road. In my capacity as Assistant Supervisor I was responsible for overseeing the supervision of a number of highway structures including two bridges, a footbridge over the railway and a number of significant retaining walls. A significant number of Project Manager duties were delegated to me such as programme reviews, administration of the risk register and the assessment of compensation events.

I have acted as Supervisor on the construction of Redhayes Bridge, the first footbridge in the UK to cross the strategic road network designed to Eurocodes and constructed in accordance with the Execution Standards.

I have recently undertaken and successfully completed the ECC Project Managers Accreditation.
