NEC Experience: My organization is currently a Gold NEC Users Group member to which I have full access to all content available.

Over the last 5 years I have acted as commercial manager on a number of NEC3 projects utilising Options A, B and C.
The largest was an Option C (Target Cost) £40million highway project in North Wales, where I was responsible for administering all commercial elements of the contract, providing notifications, communications, attending risk reduction meetings and substantiating change with narratives, quantum and programme submissions. I have more recently administered short subcontracts across my supply chain for a range of mechanical and electrical subcontractors, with emphasis on key dates, KPI’s and delay damage provisions.

I have attended a number of CPD events including:
Pinsent Masons – PM v Contractor debate on specifics cases around compensation events, programme and delay.
DWF – Looked at the Optional Clauses and potential pitfalls with NEC3 compliance and HGCRA.
Weightmans – Comparison of the NEC3 and Infrastructure Conditions of Contract (ICC).
Systech – Overview of Construction Dispute Process on a number of contracts including NEC3.
