Current Position: Project Engineer, Northumbrian Water
NEC Experience: I currently fulfill the role of Project Engineer delivering the Northumbrian Water (NWL) capital investment programme. I am a qualified Engineer with fifteen years experience in project management, operations, maintenance and client based organisations. I have fulfilled office based, site based and front line roles throughout the UK. Whilst working as a Project Manager for C&A Pumps I gained experience in managing a contracts team delivering pumping solutions nationally. During my time at C&A I successfully project managed up to fifty pumping station solutions for NWL.
In my current role as Project Engineer I also take on the role of ECC Supervisor responsible for the technical aspects and NEC requirement of a wide range of water and wastewater investment projects. My core project portfolio consists of sewage pumping stations and network flooding work. This aligns with my technical strength of wastewater processes having delivered a number of sewage pumping station projects and flood elevation projects. I can also demonstrate multi disciplinary training and experience in different related areas such as health and safety which I am qualified with CSCS (site manager card), IOSH and NEBOSH level 3 certificate (passed with distinction). I have also gained a number of project management qualifications such as APM (Introductory Certificate in Project Management) and a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership through the Chartered Management Institute.

I have been very proactive with my continued personal development through my attendance to the pump centre training courses looking at pumping station design and pump selection. As previously explained I have completed CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership gaining charted status. I have also completed the NEC ECC supervisor’s course to aid in my current role. Prior to the completion of the NEC ECC supervisor’s course I completed an internal NEC3 Conditions of Contract course.
