Current Position: Managing Clerk of Works, Ross Quality Control Limited
NEC Experience: Over the past 2 years I have worked on projects which have used a variety of main contract and subcontract NEC3 Conditions. During my employment as a Surveyor/ Consultant I advised Clients on contractual matters on ECC and ECS Contracts.

After joining Ross Quality Control Limited I played a managing role in the Company’s delivering NEC3 Supervisor Services in addition to Clerk of Works Services. I was aware that Public Bodies such as NHS, Universities, Colleges, Local Authorities would as a result of a lack of overview and control (examples being the PFI issues in Scotland) start to look towards moving to more control and that NEC3 would come to the fore and the statement by the Scottish Office that all public funded developments would need independent monitoring, just underlined the need. Consequently, we are now involved in delivering NEC3 (Purest Form) or ProCure21+ (NHS NEC3) Supervisor Services to NHS, Industrial and Higher and Further Education Clients throughout the UK.

To ensure that we deliver NEC3 / P21+ NEC3 Services in line with our Clients expectations myself and my Director sat and passed the NEC3 ECC Supervisor Accreditation. Moving forward my role involves advising and overseeing our NEC3 Supervisors, advising Clients and Consultants alike of our role and obligations under the NEC3 ECC Contract and to a degree their role as well. The majority of my NEC3 experience is NHS work however we have recently taken on a new contract with a major midlands University.

Currently, I am directly responsible for managing our NEC3 Supervisor Operations in England for which we have approximately £70M of capital value of NEC3 Works ongoing.
