Current Position: Associate Partner, Airey Miller LLP FROM 1st. Dec. 2016
NEC Experience: I attended the 4-day NEC3:ECC Project Manager Accreditation course on 6th, 7th., 13th., & 14th. September 2016 and achieved my NEC3: ECC Project Manager Accreditation on 2nd. November 2016 following the successful completion of the two-part assessment. Please see copy of NEC Certificate attached also.

Prior to the above, I had attended various in-house courses on NEC3 while employed with Arcadis and Baily Garner LLP, where I was an Associate Partner, with responsibilities for delivering various projects.

In the last eight years, especially, I have taken a particular interest in the practical application of the NEC suite of contracts and have done various CPD and self-taught courses.

In the last five years, I have been involved with four projects of varying sizes involving the use of NEC Contracts. In all cases, Option A was used as desired by the client. The projects are with the Parliamentary Estates Directorate [PED] and cover the following:

1.    Fire Safety Installation works at Portcullis House, Westminster
2.    Refurbishment and fire compartmentation works in the basement of the Parliament building, Wesminster
3.    Restorative conservation works at the parliament building
4.    Refurbishment and fire compartmentation works in the Parliament building [ground & upper storeys], Wesminster

I was the programme manager working with a team of project managers to deliver this scheme – with responsibilities for advising the client on procurement & contractual issues; co-ordination of the different works within the PED programme; as well as providing technical & contractual support to the Project Managers on their individual projects. The combined value of the projects is circa £40M.

Aside from the above, over the past fifteen years, I have also been involved in various project boards responsible for advising on and selecting appropriate procurement approach and form of contract.
